National Canvasse is Experian's Electoral Roll replacement product. Providing accurate, up to date consumer data with coverage across the UK population. National Canvasse not only replaces the Electoral Roll for direct marketing, but also provides a file that is more up-to-date in terms of data recency, as it is completely rebuilt every month with fresh and updated data.
Data sources
It is built combining the commercially available Electoral Roll, name and address level data from Experian's Canvasse Lifestyle database, directors at home, shareholder data and significant data contributions from partner organisations.
Partners
The partners are companies with large commercial databases, built from customer transactions. They provide data for individuals who have not opted out of third party marketing activity.
All data is fully compliant, providing a great resource, whether for local area marketing or UK wide. National Canvasse includes a wealth of data criteria to help in list selection for targeted direct marketing.
National Canvasse with surname origin
This new dataset contains modelled data reflecting the surname origin of prospects. Surname Origin is a person level segmentation that classifies each individual in the UK into 4 groups and 20 types based upon analysis of the geographic / ethnic origins of family names.
This segmentation provides insight into the cultural origins of individuals and can be used in customer and prospect profiling, modelling and in local market planning.
