What is Prospect Locator? Prospect Locator is an online data vending service that provides direct access to Experian’s breadth and depth of data through an easy to use web application. Why use Prospect Locator? Prospect Locator helps you identify those people who are most likely to respond to your campaign through a wide range of selections, enabling your business to deliver highly targeted local area direct marketing and attract new prospects who are interested in your products and services. What kind of data is available through Prospect Locator? Fresh, marketing data – when you need it. Consumer lists National Canvasse provides access to over 34 million individuals, data selectable on demographic information such as age, gender and income. Canvasse Automotive provides access to over 34 million individuals selectable on over 160 variables indicating car ownership, with information such as those who are likely to have a used car, new car from the high end of the market or motorcycle ownership. Canvasse Lifestyle provides information on over 3.2 million individuals for specific areas such as finance, travel and shopping. Canvasse birthday selections provides access to over 11 million individuals selectable on DOB, gender geography and Experian’s data classification systems such as Mosaic.
Which internet browsers can run Prospect Locator? Prospect Locator is compatible with Internet Explorer 5 and upwards. Currently we do not support Netscape or MAC users and AOL browsers. Why do I need to register? When you register onto Prospect Locator your details will be logged. Your e-mail address will be used to send send your order and any confirmation information that you require to access the data.It will also be used to manage any orders that you place for future order exclusion. The rest of the information will be used to keep you updated on the new developments to the site, particularly those that are relevant to your business sector. Will my information be passed onto third parties? The information that you provide will not be passed onto any third parties. Your details may be used by Experian to update you on developments that may be of use to you. These could be on new developments to Prospect Locator and also other products in the Experian range. If you choose to Opt Out of future mailings, you can do this when registering with Prospect Locator. How do I pay for my data? There are 2 ways to pay for your Prospect Locator data:
Credit Card: You can choose to pay for your data by credit card. You will be prompted to choose a payment method towards the end of the order process. When you choose to pay by credit card you will be directed to the ePDQ system run by Barclays. The system is a secure site. Once you have entered your credit card details the system will check the validity of your card and advise you of clearance. You then need to ensure that you confirm your order within the ePDQ site by clicking on the confirm order button so that the process is complete and the data can be supplied to you via our secure download site. Credit Account: You can choose to set up a Credit Account system and pay for your data monthly in arrears. To do this you should ring the Product Support Centre on: 0870 900 0001. The Product Support Centre will ask you to fax over a copy of your company letter headed paper and will run a credit check to ascertain an agreed credit limit. Once you have cleared credit checking you will be able to order data on credit account. I have a limited budget can I specify how many prospects I want? You can limit the number of prospects to suit your campaign and budget. Prospect Locator will re-calculate the costs for you by specifying your desired amount on the order output screen. How will I receive the data? When you complete your registration and submit your first order you will be set up to receive data via our secure file download facility. This ensures that consumer data is protected during the transfer process. Access to the site will be with the same username and password that you currently use to access Prospect Locator. Simply follow the link on the notification email to the secure site where you’ll be asked to log in using your current Prospect Locator username and password. Once logged in, follow the on screen instructions which will enable you to download the data to your desktop or your local area network. What if I haven’t received a notification email? It may be that if you are paying by credit card you did not confirm your order after submitting payment. If this is the case please contact our support team on 0870 900 001 who will be able to complete your order for you. If you have not received a notification email shortly after confirming your order then please contact our support team on 0870 900 0001 who will be pleased to help you. How do I know the data is up to date? The databases are regularly screened for MPS, TPS, Gone-aways, deceased and no mail requests. The National Canvasse, Lifestyle and Business databases are updated with fresh data monthly so you can be sure that the data is fresh. How can I be sure that I do not purchase the same data in future mailings? Prospect Locator allows users to suppress against previous orders at the selection count. This allows the user to see the effect of suppression against the total count prior to ordering. Can I choose to have multiple contacts at a household? You can choose to select multiple contacts by using the contact prioritisation function within Prospect Locator after you choose to order the data following your initial selection.
